Audio Technica's Logan talked our team through the Allen
& Heath GLD80 compact digital mixer on their stand over at
BVE.
As well as having a truly impressive Vegas mode, this digital
control surface does all its own processing in-surface, cutting
down on the extra hardware you'll need. You can set up your own
effects bank and then add effects and EQ to each channel
individually via the faders on the surface itself, or simply push
as pull waveforms on its touchscreen display to make changes
organically on the fly. If you're after a hands-on solution
that helps keep controlling your mix and simple and visual as
possible, it's well worth a look.

Urushi refit, which makes the AT4050 a very attractive (and
strangely calming) addition to your mic collection. According to
AT's Logan, there's even more wow on the way...
